Why Agnano

How Our Technology is Unique

  • The plant unlocks its own nutrition

Non-water-soluble. Nutrients release only when they meet the organic acids in root exudates. The plant takes up what it needs as it grows, instead of getting one soluble dose the soil can carry away.

  • Doesn't rely on rain to perform

Built for dryland and irrigated systems. Dryland: no rain, and your crop still accesses nutrients. Irrigated: because the nutrients are non-water-soluble, they resist leaching and stay in the root zone, feeding the crop from sowing to harvest.

  • Doesn't lock up in the soil

Resists fixation. The nutrients are pre-complexed, so they don't bind with aluminium or iron. They stay available to the plant instead of getting locked up and lost, the way conventional fertilisers are in difficult soils.

  • Works within your existing programme

No overnight switch. Add our products to your current programme, then assess how much water-soluble nutrition you can reduce. Steady, evidence-based substitution at your own pace.

  • A full nutrient package in every particle

Multi-nutrient delivery in a single particle. Each carries the full package as one complexed unit, not separate straights. The plant draws a balanced supply, so uptake is uniform across the paddock.

  • Works with your soil biology

Compatible with bio-inputs and biological programmes. No salt load or soluble spikes to stress soil life. You feed this season's crop while supporting microorganisms like Azospirillum, mycorrhiza, and rhizobium.

From the Founder

"Farmers deserve fertiliser that works as hard as they do. Most of what goes on the ground today is wasted before the plant even uses it. We spent twelve years fixing that."

Fertiliser education

Why conventional fertilisers fall short

Why conventional fertilisers fall short

Water, soil chemistry, and timing decide how much of a conventional fertiliser ever reaches the plant. Because most products are water-soluble, they release everything at once: a single flush that often peaks before the crop needs it, then leaches, volatilises, or fixes in the soil before it can be used. The nutrients are applied, but much of the value is lost to the paddock rather than taken up by the crop.

Sprinkler irrigation over a green crop field

Irrigated systems

Issue

Water-soluble nutrients move with irrigation. Runoff and leaching can carry fertiliser away before roots capture it.

Agnano solution

Our formula contains non-water soluble nutrients, reducing loss pathways so nutrients remain available after water moves through.

Aerial view of dry patterned farm fields

Dryland conditions

Issue

Without moisture, release stalls. Some nutrients volatilise or are chemically lost before the crop receives value.

Agnano solution

Rain or not, nutrients remain positioned and plant-available instead of disappearing through early loss events.

Seedlings emerging from healthy soil

Fixation and soil acidity

Issue

Micronutrients like zinc and phosphorus can become fixed by soil chemistry, especially in challenging pH conditions.

Agnano solution

Pre-complexed particles reduce fixation risk, helping nutrients remain accessible instead of locking away in the soil.

Rows of young crop seedlings in soil

Peak nutrient release

Issue

Starter and water-soluble products can release in a short peak, often before crop demand reaches its highest point.

Agnano solution

Agnano supports slower, more durable availability so nutrients are still present when the crop needs them.
